KVITEN is a small knitwear studio in Lviv, Ukraine. Every hat, bag, keychain and phone charm is made by Daria herself, and only after you have ordered it.

These terms describe how this works between us: what you are ordering, how you pay, when it arrives and what to do if something goes wrong. Placing an order means you accept them.

You can order through the cart on this site or by direct message on Instagram. We confirm every order by hand — we check that the yarn and the colour are still there, and we agree how you would like to pay. An order is accepted when we confirm it, not when the button is pressed.

We photograph our work so that the colour is as honest as we can make it, but every piece is knitted separately. A small difference in shade, texture or size is a property of handmade work rather than a fault.

Occasionally we have to decline an order — a yarn is discontinued, and there is no more of it. We will say so straight away and refund you in full.

Prices are shown in hryvnia on the Ukrainian side of the site and in US dollars on the English side.

There are two ways to pay: a bank card transfer, with the details sent to you personally once you order, or Nova Poshta cash on delivery. Cash on delivery is available inside Ukraine only.

We begin work once payment has arrived, or once cash on delivery has been agreed.

Because every piece is knitted to order, time passes between payment and dispatch.

How long the making takes, how long the parcel is in transit and what postage costs are all on the Shipping & returns page. We deliberately do not repeat those figures here, so that the two can never disagree.

Inside Ukraine we send by Nova Poshta, and the recipient pays for delivery on collection. Everywhere else goes by international post, with the postage already inside the dollar price.

The price on this site does not include import VAT, duty or customs charges in your country. Those are set by your own customs authority and are paid by the buyer, usually to the carrier when the parcel is handed over.

We cannot work them out in advance, and we do not under-declare the value on the customs form.

In short: a catalogue piece delivered inside Ukraine can be returned or exchanged within the period stated there, provided it is in its original condition. International orders cannot be returned or exchanged, and neither can pieces commissioned to your own specification, because they are made for you alone.

If something arrives faulty or is damaged in transit, write to us and send photographs. We will repair it, replace it or refund you — and in that case the return postage is ours to pay.

The photographs, descriptions, patterns and the name KVITEN belong to us. Share them as much as you like with a credit, but please do not use them to sell work of your own.

The fastest way to reach us is Instagram. We write in Ukrainian and English and usually reply within a few working days.

These terms may change. An order that has already been confirmed is governed by the version in force when we confirmed it.
